Basketball Game Preview: Hibbing Bluejackets vs. Proctor Rails

The Hibbing Bluejackets will head out on the road to square off against the Proctor Rails at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hibbing has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with five straight losses, while Proctor will come in with six straight victories.

Last Thursday, Hibbing took a blow against Esko, falling 67-33.

Meanwhile, Proctor was able to grind out a solid win over Bemidji on Saturday, taking the game 55-42. Given the Rails' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Lumberjacks are ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hibbing's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Proctor, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.

Hibbing took a serious blow against Proctor in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 60-23. Can Hibbing avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
