Clarkston extends road losing streak to three

Recap: Clarkston Angoras vs. Druid Hills Red Devils

The Clarkston Angoras's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 61-32 loss at the hands of Druid Hills. Clarkston has not had much luck with Druid Hills recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Despite the loss, Clarkston still got an impressive performance from Arriana Blackwell, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Blackwell scored a full 46.9% of Clarkston's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

The last time Clarkston won on the road was back last Friday. Having now lost three straight away games, they've bumped their record down to 1-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.0 points per game. As for Druid Hills, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarkston will take on Southwest DeKalb at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwest DeKalb presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Clarkston in Georgia (Southwest DeKalb is ranked 104th, while Clarkston is ranked 459th). As for Druid Hills, they will be playing at home against Carver at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Carver has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
