Recap: Sabinal Yellowjackets vs. Stockdale Brahmas

There's no place like home for the Sabinal Yellowjackets, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They managed a 52-48 win over Stockdale on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sabinal also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Sabinal's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joseph Contreras, who almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 11 rebounds, and nine blocks. Contreras has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 11 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andres Reyes, who scored 15 points along with two steals.

Sabinal is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-13 record this season. As for Stockdale, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-18.

Sabinal will head out on the road to take on La Pryor at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sabinal focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. As for Stockdale, they will be playing at home against Charlotte at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stockdale is facing Charlotte at the right time seeing as Charlotte is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
