After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Estero finally came back down to earth  on Thursday. They fell just short of the Neumann Celtics by a score of  3-1. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
  Annika Jarvi was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she  pitched six innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   eight  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances.
Estero's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Neumann, their victory was  their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 11-3.
 Coming up, Estero will square off against Mariner at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tritons have averaged an impressive 8.1  runs per game this season. As for Neumann, they will take on Mason Classical Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
