Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Pinewood Prep

Pinewood Prep waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 60-45 win over the Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Swampcats are ranked 133rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pinewood Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tre Green, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 15 points. Thanks to that strong game, Green now owns an excellent 45.2% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Slawson, who posted 11 points.

Pinewood Prep pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points over those games. As for Laurence Manning Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
