Baseball Recap: Plainwell Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Plainwell's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Niles Vikings on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost four in a row.

Plainwell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Hampton, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

Plainwell's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11-1. As for Niles, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

While Plainwell had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
