Basketball Game Preview: Independence Knights vs. Centennial Titans

Independence hasn't had much luck against Centennial recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Independence Knights will square off against the Centennial Titans at 5:45 p.m. Centennial took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Independence, who comes in off a win.

Independence is headed into the game having just posted their biggest win since December 3, 2024 on Friday. They blew past Lebanon Trail 61-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Meanwhile, Centennial came up short against Heritage on Saturday and fell 56-47. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Coyotes recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Independence, their victory ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-9.

Independence was able to grind out a solid win over Centennial in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 43-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Independence since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
