Basketball Game Preview: Concordia Panthers vs. Rock Creek Mustangs

After both having extra time off, the Concordia Panthers and the Rock Creek Mustangs will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another on Tuesday. Both teams are still undefeated (Concordia has five wins , while Rock Creek has four).

Back in December of 2024, the stars were shining brightly for Concordia in a 59-45 victory over Marysville. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 115th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rock Creek). They breezed by Clifton-Clyde to the tune of 77-44 back in December of 2024. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Rock Creek's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Concordia, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Concordia and Rock Creek were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, but Concordia came up empty-handed after a 61-60 loss.
