As for Fargo South, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games.
On Fargo South's side, Evan Felber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits and racked up six Ks. Felber has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Henry Schrum was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Skyler Burkhardt also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Fargo South beat Shanley by a score of 11-7 later that day.
