New Brockton had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 69-56 to the Carroll Eagles. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

New Brockton's loss came despite strong showings from Myles Tillis and Khazari Griffin. Tillis shot 45% from the field to rack up 14 points and six steals, while Griffin almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards. Josiah Lewis was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.

New Brockton has already played their next matchup (against Luverne), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Carroll, they have also already played their next game, a 49-9 victory against Daleville on the 14th.
