Hunter Smith was the best pitcher in 2A/1A Northwest this week. His stat line for the week included zero wins and 12 Ks.
South Stokes (17-8, 9-5) has won seven games in a row, the league's longest active win streak. Two of those wins came in the past week, including a 7-1 victory over Alleghany.
Surry Central's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only four hits and eight walks, both of which led the league. On the season, the Golden Eagles have allowed just 197 hits, while striking out 224 batters. Smith leads the Golden Eagles with 105 strikeouts in 67 innings.
