Basketball Game Preview: Bodine vs. Prep Charter Huskies

Bodine will head out on the road to face off against the Prep Charter Huskies at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Bodine is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.5 points per game this season.

Bodine took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They strolled past Franklin Towne with points to spare, taking the game 63-44. Bodine's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Nigeir Fisher was his usual excellent self, going 11 for 20 on his way to 26 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiair Ancrum-Thomas, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Prep Charter was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 72-67 to Kensington. The loss was the Huskies' first of the season.

Prep Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Bodine, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Bodine strolled past Prep Charter when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 57-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bodine since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
