West Genesee is a perfect 3-0 against Ithaca since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wildcats will challenge the Little Red at 5:00 p.m. Ithaca took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on West Genesee, who comes in off a win.

While West Genesee's victory against East Syracuse-Minoa wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Spartans 6-5 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Ithaca came up short against Vestal on Monday and fell 5-1.

West Genesee's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Ithaca, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Everything went West Genesee's way against Ithaca in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as West Genesee made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
