Baseball Game Preview: Ogden Tigers vs. Union Cougars

Ogden is 0-7 against Union since May of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. The Tigers will head out to face off against the Cougars at 3:00 p.m. Ogden will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Ogden came out on top against Syracuse on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Titans 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since April 26, 2025.

Easton Green was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Denver Rhodes, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Ogden was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Union, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against Emery by a score of 9-4 on Friday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Ogden's record now sits at 4-11. As for Union, their record is now 8-5.

Ogden suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Union in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
