Soccer Game Preview: Vista Murrieta vs. Great Oak

The Vista Murrieta Broncos will take on the Great Oak Wolfpack at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Vista Murrieta is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Last Friday, Vista Murrieta got the win against Temecula Valley by a conclusive 5-1. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won eight contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Temecula Valley with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Roman Rodriguez (2), David Mejia, Joshua Ellis, and Mario Mejia.

Meanwhile, Great Oak's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Murrieta Valley, sneaking past 3-2. Given the Wolfpack's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Nighthawks are ranked 748th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Vista Murrieta has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those nine matchups. As for Great Oak, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2-4.
