Volleyball Recap: Speedway Comes Up Short

Speedway lost against Parke Heritage back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Sparkplugs fell 2-0 to the Wolves. The Sparkplugs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Hayli Clampitt paced Speedway's offense, picking up seven kills. Clampitt got some help from Izzy Bigelow and her eight assists. Finally, Josie Hopkins kept Speedway's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Speedway's loss dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Parke Heritage, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 19-9.

Speedway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against North Montgomery on the 11th. As for Parke Heritage, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Wabash on the 11th.
