Basketball Recap: Peyton Conway Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Piedmont duked it out with Carson on Friday. The Panthers enjoyed a cozy 59-41 victory over the Cougars. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Piedmont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Peyton Conway led the charge by going 5-for-8 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Charleigh Battle, who posted 20 points and three steals.

Piedmont's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Piedmont has already played their next contest, a 67-31 victory against South Stanly on the 24th. As for Carson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-27 loss against Statesville on the 24th.
