Baseball Game Preview: Loretto Mustangs vs. Forrest Rockets

The Loretto Mustangs will take on the Forrest Rockets at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Loretto 3.3, Forrest 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Loretto and Columbia Academy meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Mustangs fell 6-3 to the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Forrest came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 12-2 win.

Loretto's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Forrest, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.
