Basketball Game Preview: Dunedin Falcons vs. Pinellas Park Patriots

The Dunedin Falcons will square off against the Pinellas Park Patriots at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Dunedin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.6 points per game this season.

Last Monday, Dunedin beat Hollins 59-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

SHERWIN SIMMONS was his usual excellent self, shooting 7-for-12 from long range and dropping a double-double on 29 points and 16 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games he's played. DEONTE MACK was another key player, putting up three points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists.

Meanwhile, Pinellas Park had to suffer through a 81-41 loss at the hands of St. Petersburg. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 581st, while the Green Devils are ranked 148th).

Pinellas Park's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Dunedin, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.

Dunedin beat Pinellas Park 64-51 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Does Dunedin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pinellas Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
