Tampa Bay Tech has gone 8-2 against Blake recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Tampa Bay Tech Titans will take on the Blake Yellow Jackets at 11:00 a.m. Tampa Bay Tech will be strutting in after a win while Blake will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with 11 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Tampa Bay Tech turned things around against Freedom on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Patriots, sneaking past 8-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Joseph Hartman and Michael Gibson were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Hartman tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off seven hits. Meanwhile, Gibson tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Hartman went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI, while Gibson scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Hartman a new career-high in hits.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Luke Jones, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. John Randall IV also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Blake's offense. They lost 15-0 to Jefferson on Thursday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Yellow Jackets were not able to get on the board.

Blake saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zechariah Ayers, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Blake's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Tampa Bay Tech, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Tampa Bay Tech came up short against Blake in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 12-9. Can Tampa Bay Tech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
