Gavin Carter leads Chaparral to victory over Regis Jesuit

Recap: Chaparral Wolverines vs. Regis Jesuit Raiders
On Friday, the Chaparral Wolverines faced the Regis Jesuit Raiders in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Chaparral came out on top against Regis Jesuit by a score of 61-53. This was payback for Chaparral, who suffered a 64-44 loss the last time these two teams met.
Gavin Carter was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with six assists and two steals. Another player making a difference was Christian Williams, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Chaparral is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Regis Jesuit, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Chaparral will stay at home for another game and welcome Castle View at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Evan Mckean and Carter. Regis Jesuit won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Arapahoe at 2:30 p.m. on January 13th.
