Basketball Recap: Hagerstown Drops Highest Score of Season Against Cambridge City Lincoln

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hagerstown). They secured an 82-76 W over the Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles on Tuesday. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 64-57 victory the Golden Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Hagerstown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaagen Kendall led the charge by going 7-for-13 to rack up 24 points and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, Kendall now owns an excellent 45.2% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Lawson, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Hagerstown was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They racked up six more assists than Cambridge City Lincoln's also-impressive total of 16.

Despite the loss, Cambridge City Lincoln still got an impressive performance from Aidan Munchel, who went 11-for-22 on his way to 31 points. The match was Munchel's fourth in a row with at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Dustin Lunsford, who posted 16 points and five boards.

Hagerstown's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Cambridge City Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hagerstown will face off against Randolph Southern at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th. As for Cambridge City Lincoln, they will square off against Winchester Community at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cambridge City Lincoln is facing Winchester Community at the right time seeing as Winchester Community is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
