Basketball Recap: Newberg Comes Up Short

Newberg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 47-28 to the McMinnville Grizzlies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 52-44 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Newberg's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for McMinnville, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-8 record.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Newberg Tigers duke it out with the Century Jaguars at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for McMinnville, they will take on Forest Grove at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
