Volleyball Recap: East Gaston Starts off Right with Win over Forestview

East Gaston had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Forestview Jaguars with a sharp 3-0 victory. The game was the first time the Warriors have beaten the Jaguars on their court since August 16, 2018.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: East Gaston took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-13, 25-10.

Morgan Styles was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had four digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

After both having extra time off, East Gaston and Highland Tech will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Forestview, they are taking a road trip to square off against Stuart W. Cramer at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
