Camden County has gone 8-2 against Currituck County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Camden County Bruins will welcome the Currituck County Knights at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Camden County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Pasquotank County 17-3 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Camden County let Audrey Jones and Emma Gordan run wild. Jones went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Gordan went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave Jones a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Barker, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Meanwhile, Currituck County got themselves on the board against Hertford County on Friday, but Hertford County never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 17-0 victory.
Julianna Evans and Riley High were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Evans pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, High pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Evans scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while High scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that High snagged this season.
In other batting news, Kaydence Hassell was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Amelia Cervantes, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3.
Currituck County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in 11 consecutive matches dating back to last season.
Currituck County's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Camden County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Camden County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .458. However, it's not like Currituck County struggles in that department as they've averaged .663. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
