Softball Recap: John Paul II Catholic Takes a Loss

John Paul II Catholic lost against Lawrence Academy back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The John Paul II Catholic Saints lost 20-7 to the Lawrence Academy Warriors.

Alana Albritton and Cara Edwards did some serious damage despite the final result: Albritton scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Edwards scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Albritton is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Lorelei Grabill also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

John Paul II Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lawrence Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John Paul II Catholic will welcome Brunswick Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lawrence Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pungo Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
