Omaha Westside is a perfect 6-0 against Elkhorn South since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Omaha Westside Warriors will look to defend their home court against the Elkhorn South Storm at 5:30 p.m. Omaha Westside knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Elkhorn South likes a good challenge.

Omaha Westside is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Buena Vista: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Omaha Westside blew Buena Vista out of the water with a 69-26 final score. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 22 points or more this season.

Omaha Westside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sanai Foster, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elise Pederson, who had eight points and six boards.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Elkhorn South, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 69-62 win over Westview on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Storm's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Wolverines are ranked 19th).

Omaha Westside's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points over those games. As for Elkhorn South, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14.

Omaha Westside beat Elkhorn South 69-61 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Will Omaha Westside repeat their success, or does Elkhorn South have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
