Volleyball Recap: Chittenango Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Chittenango, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Sauquoit Valley Indians by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won five in a row.

While Chittenango might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Sauquoit Valley scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 27-25, 23-25, 25-22.

Jackson Blaszkow paced Chittenango's offense, picking up 19 kills. Blaszkow got some help from Logan Bronner and his 40 assists. Blaszkow was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Chittenango pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, Chittenango will face off against Canastota at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sauquoit Valley, they will square off against Rome Free Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 20th.
