Baseball Game Preview: Gainesville Leopards vs. Van Alstyne Panthers

For the second straight game, Gainesville will face off against Van Alstyne. The Leopards are taking a road trip to challenge the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gainesville's hitters haven't had much luck over their past six games, but Friday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Gainesville's offense. They fell just short of Van Alstyne by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday.

Noah Green spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits.

On the hitting side, Gainesville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Neelley, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Gainesville's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Van Alstyne, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-7 record.
