Basketball Recap: Exeter Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

A well-balanced attack led Exeter over Lindsay in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. The Monarchs were the clear victors by a 69-47 margin over the Cardinals. The Monarchs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Exeter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andrew Plyman, who posted 15 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. Those six steals gave Plyman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aden Plyman, who went 6-for-11 en route to 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Exeter's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Lindsay, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Exeter has already played their next contest, a 55-44 loss against Coalinga on the 9th. As for Lindsay, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Parlier at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
