For the second straight game, Great Bend will face off against Liberal. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Redskins at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Great Bend is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.1 runs per game this season.

Liberal will be up against a hot Great Bend team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Panthers blew past the Redskins 11-2 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Alyssa McCauley was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. McCauley was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Camdyn Post, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Denver Ringo, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Great Bend kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits every time they've taken the field this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Liberal and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Great Bend, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1.
