Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monmouth Academy). They came out on top against the Mount Abram Roadrunners by a score of 69-62 on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Mustangs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Roadrunners are ranked 14th).

The victory made it two in a row for Monmouth Academy and bumps their season record up to 7-4. As for Mount Abram, their loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-1.

Monmouth Academy will take on Boothbay at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mount Abram, they will face off against Hall-Dale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
