Soccer Game Preview: Glenbard East vs. Fenton

The Glenbard East Rams will face off against the Fenton Bison at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Glenbard East's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Glenbard East's offense. They lost 4-0 to Glenbard West on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Glenbard East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while Glenbard West are ranked 28th).

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Fenton was not quite Streamwood's equal in the second half on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sabres. The defeat continues a trend for Fenton in their meetings with Streamwood: they've now lost four in a row.

Glenbard East's loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for Fenton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3-4.

Glenbard East was able to grind out a solid win over Fenton in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bison turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
