Volleyball Recap: Eldorado Takes a Loss

Eldorado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 41st straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edwards County Lions. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Eldorado may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored five points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-5.

Jaycee Kolb was the offensive standout of the contest as she had five aces and four digs. Those five aces gave her a new career-high.

Eldorado's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Edwards County, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Eldorado is set to face off against their familiar foe Hamilton County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Edwards County will challenge rival Fairfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
