Basketball Recap: Lomira Find Success

Lomira hadn't done well against Omro recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Lomira Lions had just enough and edged the Omro Foxes out 60-57. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 71-54 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lomira's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Omro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lomira Lions take on the Mayville Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Lomira's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. As for Omro, they will square off against Winnebago Lutheran Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Omro knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Winnebago Lutheran Academy likes a good challenge.
