Basketball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Webster County last Friday, Central came back down to earth. The Central Hawks were outmatched by the Taylor County Vikings and fell 76-26. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost eight in a row.

It was another big night for Jaydah Ford, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds for Taylor County. Ford is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alasia Montgomery, who posted 15 points.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Taylor County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-2.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-33 victory against Crawford County on the 4th. As for Taylor County, they have also already played their next match, a 65-47 win against Chattahoochee County on the 4th.
