Blake scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the Armwood Hawks, falling 27-19. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (18), the Yellow Jackets still had to take the loss.

J Lue was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles. Another player making a difference was C Hobbs, who got five hits from her five at bats.

Blake has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Armwood, their record is now 6-10.

Blake has already played their next game, a 15-10 win against Freedom on the 15th. As for Armwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-5 defeat against Tampa Bay Tech on the 15th.
