Basketball Recap: Community Leadership Academy Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Community Leadership Academy won the last time they faced Tallavana Christian, and Bowman Holloway did his part to make sure it happened again. The Community Leadership Academy Lions strolled past the Tallavana Christian Lion with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 76-60 thanks in part to Holloway, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Barrett Paniucki, who went 5 of 9 en route to 12 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Tallavana Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xavier Glenn, who posted 19 points. Jy-Ron Peterson was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Community Leadership Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Tallavana Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Community Leadership Academy has already played their next contest, a 64-61 victory against FAMU DRS on the 11th. As for Tallavana Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-34 win against Wakulla Christian School on the 10th.
