Basketball Recap: Canyon View Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Canyon View waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Richfield Wildcats 57-43. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 46-26 back in January.

Canyon View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maya Nichols, who posted nine points along with three steals and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Nichols a new career-high in blocks. Another player making a difference was Emery Miles, who had nine points and six rebounds.

Despite the loss, Richfield still got an impressive performance from Abbee Albrecht, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 15 points and eight boards. Albrecht has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Lilly Crane was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Canyon View's record is now 18-5. As for Richfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.

Canyon View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richfield, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wildcats take on the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
