Football Game Preview: Hanover Central Wildcats vs. Hobart Brickies

The Hanover Central Wildcats will face off against the Hobart Brickies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hobart took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Hanover Central, who comes in off a win.

Hanover Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Munster 30-10 on Friday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Isaiah Buikema was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 209 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. He has become a key player for Hanover Central: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise.

Buikema was just one part of a punishing run game: Hanover Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Meanwhile, Hobart suffered their closest loss since October 11, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Lowell by a score of 20-17. The Brickies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hobart's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Hanover Central, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
