Football Recap: Seton Catholic Piles Up the Points Against Safford

Seton Catholic won the last time they faced Safford and things went their way on Friday too. The Sentinels blew past the Bulldogs, posting a 36-8 win. With the Sentinels ahead 29-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Seton Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Coree Edwards led the charge by rushing for 95 yards, while also picking up 34 receiving yards and one TD. Chai/CJ Levin was another key back, rushing for 100 yards on only seven carries.

Seton Catholic now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Safford, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seton Catholic will face off against Gilbert Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Sentinels' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Safford, they will take on Winslow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
