Baseball Recap: Everett Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cascade on Monday, Everett came back down to earth. The Seagulls lost 15-2 to the Mount Vernon Bulldogs on Wednesday. If the Seagulls were looking for revenge after losing 6-2 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Conor Veals was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Brunni, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Everett's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Mount Vernon, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Coming up, Everett will challenge Glacier Peak at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount Vernon, they will host Nooksack Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
