Udoka Azubuike of Potter's House Christian (Jacksonville, Fla.) has had a memorable couple of weeks.

The 6-foot-10, 270-pound senior center was selected to participate in the McDonald's All-American Game back on Jan. 17.

Thursday, Azubuike announced his commitment to Kansas live on ESPNU. Florida State and North Carolina were also considered key players in the big man's recruitment.

Azubuike is ranked the No. 28 prospect in the 2016 class by 247Sports and the No. 3 center. He's averaging 16.9 points and 9.7 rebounds per game this season for Potter's House.

A native of Nigeria, Azubuike is the second 2016 pledge for the Jayhawks, joining Top 150 forward Mitch Lightfoot of Gilbert Christian (Gilbert, Ariz.).
