Soccer Game Preview: Southeast vs. Duncan

The Southeast Spartans will head out on the road to take on the Duncan Demons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast will be strutting in after a victory while Duncan will be coming in after a defeat.

Southeast is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Noble on Friday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Southeast's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Noble are ranked 77th).

Meanwhile, Duncan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-1 to MacArthur. Duncan were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-1.

The win made it two in a row for Southeast and bumps their season record up to 12-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those two games. As for Duncan, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1.

Everything went Southeast's way against Duncan in their previous matchup back in May of 2022, as Southeast made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Demons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
