Baseball Game Preview: Emmanuel Christian Academy Lions vs. Madison Mohawks

Emmanuel Christian Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Dayton Christian, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lions fell just short of the WARRIORS by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Lions have suffered since March 28th.

Jack Meyer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Emmanuel Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grady Kohl, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Madison was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They came up short against Talawanda, falling 12-1. The Mohawks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Emmanuel Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Everything went Emmanuel Christian Academy's way against Madison in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Emmanuel Christian Academy made off with a 10-0 victory.
