Football Recap: Hanover Comes Up Short

Hanover lost against Delone Catholic back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Nighthawks were just a hair shy of victory and fell 32-31 to the Squires. While the Nighthawks had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Squires 16-7.

This is the second loss in a row for Hanover and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Delone Catholic, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hanover will challenge rival Biglerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Delone Catholic is set to face off against their familiar foe Littlestown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
