Pontiac waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tolono Unity Rockets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Pontiac easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16.

Trinity Cheek paced Pontiac's offense, picking up 12 kills. Cheek got some help from Morgan Dewald and her 19 assists. Finally, Cheek was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Pontiac's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Tolono Unity, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 15-11 record.

Pontiac has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Teutopolis on the 18th. As for Tolono Unity, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Urbana on the 20th.
