League recap: Ball, Texas City tied at the top

First place in the standings of 4A Region III District 24 is up for grabs this week, as Texas City sits tied atop the standings with Ball.

Galena Park had a successful week, as it won three total games to lead the league. The Yellowjackets beat Pasadena 14-0.

Seven batters hit over .400 this week. They were led by Aron Miller, who hit .667 this week (8-for-12).

Christian Dao hit one home run this week.

Kingwood Park's Ryan Woods struck out nine Dawson hitters en route to an 11-10 victory on March 2. He gave up five hits and eight runs over four innings of work.



Jacob Mullins drove in six runners as Santa Fe defeated Cedar Ridge 12-3 on Friday. He went 3-for-4 and scored one run.
