Soccer Recap: Lincoln-Way East Gets the Win

Lincoln-Way East picked up another tournament win on Friday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Griffins who were credited with the win. The Lincoln-Way East Griffins got it done in the shootout by posting eight goals to the Moline Maroons's seven. Lincoln-Way East's winning goal came courtesy of Jacob Broderick.

Lincoln-Way East now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Moline, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Lincoln-Way East has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against De La Salle on the 27th. As for Moline, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, an 8-3 victory against Reavis on the 27th.
