Baseball Game Preview: Pascagoula Panthers vs. St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws

The Pascagoula Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pascagoula is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Pascagoula is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since April 12, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against Ocean Springs, falling 8-2.

Matt Ditsworth made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (four).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Stanislaus). They never let Resurrection Catholic get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Rock-a-Chaws in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

The win got St. Stanislaus back to even at 3-3. As for Pascagoula, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Pascagoula suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to St. Stanislaus when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Pascagoula avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
